Small Steps for a Healthy Lifestyle

Simply taking small steps to improve your well-being, both physically and mentally, is the real key to long-term success! You can achieve your goals just by making small adjustments to your lifestyle. Looking good, happier, or healthier is everyone’s wish. These are some tiny changes that can have a surprisingly big impact on your lifestyle:

1. Sneak in exercise:
Exercise is a mandatory part of good health. Increase your activity level by doing mini-workouts several intervals throughout the day. Walking stairs instead of elevators, parking farther from your destination, taking your bicycle instead of driving, walking your dog and even vigorously cleaning house will boost your daily calorie burn and improve your health. Good shoes can motivate you to exercise, make you excited and can usually get through the mentally/physically tough part of the workout and help you find your groove.

2. Snack between meals:
Eating snack-size protein bars can help reduce overeating between meals. Many bars come in indulgent dessert flavors -- like chocolate, peanut butter, fudge brownie and cinnamon to satisfy your sweet tooth while avoiding blood sugar spikes and subsequent crashes.

3. Get more sleep:
Sleep plays a vital role in good health and well-being throughout your life. Sleep makes you feel better, but its importance goes way beyond just boosting your mood or banishing under-eye circles. Adequate sleep is a key part of a healthy lifestyle, and can benefit your heart, weight, mind, and more. It is recommended for adults to sleep for 7-8 hours at night.

4. Be a smart shopper:
Healthy diet doesn't start at the dinner table, or even at the stove. It begins at the grocery store.

Be sure to stock up on all the essentials like yogurt, cheese, milk and oatsConsuming milkcheese and yogurt can boost immunity, lower blood pressure, reduce risk of diabetes, cancer and help maintain your weight.

5. Detoxification:
Toxins disrupt the normal healthy flow within your body, leaving you feeling fatigued, sore and depressed.  They can also lead to serious illnesses, such as cancer, arthritis, diabetes and allergies.

Your body often signals hunger and thirst in the same way. Bring a water bottle to work and fill it often. Infuse your water with fruit or a citrus slice for an added flavor boost without the calories. This detox water act by gently flushing out toxins and provide you added antioxidants and other health boosting nourishment. As well, many of the detox tea improves immunity and digestive function, cleanses, improves your complexion and curbs the appetite and creates a general overall health and wellbeing.

6.Cocunut oil instead of butter:
Coconut oil has several beneficial ingredients that help promote better overall health. Because it stays solid at room temperature, coconut oil can be an easy healthy alternative to butter. You may substitute coconut oil for butter in many baking recipes, adding a healthier blend of fatty acids and an appealing taste of coconut.
