Mont Blanc Legend Eau De Toilette Spray For Men, 100ml
The brand Mont Blanc presented a new men's fragrance back in April 2011. Legend is devoted to inspiring, righteous and self-confident men who are brave, passionate and authentic. Their fragrance is delicate but striking and mannish. Olivier Pescheux, the perfumer behind this fresh fougere creation, tried to make the fragrance full with contrasts, uniting notes that evoke strength and sensitivity, tradition and modernism. The composition opens with fresh aromatic tones of bergamot, lavender, pineapple leaf and exotic verbena (Litsea Cubeba). The heart notes emphasise oak moss that are merged with geranium, coumarin, apple, rose, and dried fruits. The base contains sandalwood, tonka and evernyl. The heavy and somewhat curved bottle of black and metallic colours are inspired by the famous Meisterstück pen design, made of glass and metal. The scheme is minimalistic and luxurious, perfect for the concept behind this fragrance. The black and white campaign features Simon Clark photographed by Peter Lindbergh. Mont Blanc was founded back in 1908 by stationer Claus-Johannes Voss, banker Alfred Nehemias and engineer August Eberstein, the company started out as the Simplo Filler Pen company. Making fashionable pens in Hamburg, a pen produced in 1910 would later give the company its new name: the Montblanc. The company's signature "White Star" shape which adorns its products first appeared in 1913, and was enthused by the peak of Mont Blanc, the highest peak in the Alps. The company's first fountain pen gained notoriety for the company known as the Meisterstück ("Masterpiece"), first shaped in 1924 and still manufactured today. The success of the Meisterstück allowed for worldwide expansion and export of the company's goods. The figure "4810" (the height of Mont Blanc) was carved on the nibs of all Meisterstück pens starting in 1929. In 1934 the company changed its name to Montblanc-Simplo GmbH, and introduced its first piston pen filler. Mont Blanc has around 11 perfumes in their fragrance base. The first edition was created in 2001 and the latest is from 2011. Mont Blanc fragrances were made in collaboration with perfumers Michel Almairac, Pierre Bourdon, Olivier Pescheux and Corinne Cachen.
